CVE-2026-6667Network attack vector

Client connection termination via unchecked admin command

Published May 9, 2026 · Updated May 9, 2026

Missing authorization in PgBouncer before 1.25.2 allows remote authenticated users to terminate arbitrary client connections. The KILL_CLIENT admin-command handler accepts requests from any account admitted to the administration console without verifying that the account appears in admin_users. Console access is required, and successful use immediately drops the selected client connection and its associated server connections, interrupting that client's database service.
