Contributor XSS via unsafe TOC HTML rendering
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Cross-site scripting in WPDeveloper Table Of Contents Block 1.5.0 and earlier lets remote authenticated users inject script via crafted heading text. In src/list.js, ebGenerateTOC concatenates heading-derived link and content values into raw HTML and List renders that string with dangerouslySetInnerHTML; src/frontend.js also prepends anchor markup with item.innerHTML. Contributor-level access to create or edit a post that contains the block is sufficient, and the stored JavaScript executes in other users' browsers when the page is viewed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
