CVE-2026-66620Network attack vector

PHP object injection via import deserialization

Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026

PHP object injection in Derek Herman OptionTree 2.7.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted import data. The ot_import admin handler passes base64-decoded import_settings, import_data, and import_layouts POST values to ot_decode, which relies on a regex object check before calling maybe_unserialize on attacker-controlled serialized content. Reachability is limited to users who can access the plugin's import workflow, which Patchstack characterizes as Editor-level, and code execution requires a usable PHP object POP chain in the WordPress stack.
