Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published Sep 17, 2026 · Updated Sep 19, 2026
Stored XSS in BdThemes Element Pack Addons for Elementor 8.8.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script via widget settings. Editor previews print saved social-network names, heading tags, links, image URLs, tooltip text, and animation choices into HTML attributes without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor access is required to save a crafted widget value, and a privileged victim's interaction with the affected editor preview executes the script in that victim's WordPress origin.
