CVE-2026-6642Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped preset attributes

Published Sep 11, 2026 · Updated Sep 11, 2026

Stored XSS in Media Library Assistant 3.35 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through imported bulk-edit presets. The mla_generate_bulk_edit_form_fieldsets() path assigns preset values to template variables without esc_attr(), and mla-bulk-edit-fieldsets.tpl inserts them into input value attributes. Author-level upload_files access is enough to create a poisoned preset; execution requires an administrator to import it and focus the targeted field.
