CVE-2026-66373Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via shared-NACK double free

Published Jul 25, 2026 · Updated Jul 25, 2026

Double-free in Redis before 8.8.0 allows remote authenticated users with RESTORE access to execute code via a crafted stream payload. During rdbLoadObject, stream consumer PEL loading overwrites an existing streamNACK consumer pointer when a second consumer references the same pending entry, leaving a dangling pointer that XGROUP DELCONSUMER frees again. Exploitation requires authenticated access with permission to execute RESTORE and XGROUP DELCONSUMER, and successful code runs in the Redis server context.
