Session hijacking via predictable token seeds

Predictable web session tokens in Digital Watchdog VMAX recorders allow attackers on an adjacent network to hijack authenticated sessions. The web-session token generator uses an insufficiently random seed, limiting possible token values to the seed space. Attackers must reach the recorder and predict a live token; success permits session impersonation and actions authorized to that session.
