Unauthorized data disclosure via raw MongoDB operators
Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
NoSQL injection in Cockpit CMS 2.13.0 through 2.13.5 allows remote authenticated users to read unauthorized database records. The Assets controller appends non-string filter objects without validation, while the content API decodes and passes user-supplied pipelines directly to aggregate(). Users or API keys with assets/read or content/read permission can inject MongoDB operators such as $regex or $lookup to bypass collection boundaries and disclose records.
