Session-cookie disclosure via missing Secure attribute
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Missing Secure cookie attribute in HCL iControl 4.5.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read session cookies over HTTP. The application's session-cookie response omits the Secure flag, so browsers can send those cookies on unencrypted requests to the same host. Interception requires an HTTP request carrying the cookie and a network position on that path; an HTTPS-only deployment does not expose this transmission path.
