CVE-2026-66153Hinoki check available

File-path manipulation via temporary-file link following

Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Improper link resolution in SonicWall NetExtender Linux 10.3.5 and earlier allows attackers to manipulate file paths during auto-upgrade. The NEService auto-upgrade process follows links in temporary-file paths without ensuring that they resolve inside the intended temporary location. Exploitation requires influence over temporary-file paths while auto-upgrade runs; SonicWall has not published the exact file operation or resulting access boundary.
