Arbitrary file write via unsanitized upload filename
Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026
Path traversal in SuperAGI 0.0.1 through 0.0.14 allows remote attackers to write files outside the upload directory via a crafted filename. The upload function in superagi/controllers/resources.py validates the separate name form field for an allowed extension, then joins the unsanitized file.filename value to the storage path before writing its content. The default development deployment leaves the resource-upload endpoint unauthenticated, so a multipart request can place attacker-controlled content anywhere writable by the backend process.
