Unauthenticated code execution via Zip Slip
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Zip Slip in SonicWall Global Management System 9.5.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read sensitive data and write arbitrary files. The archive-processing path accepts crafted ZIP entry names that escape the intended extraction directory, causing attacker-controlled content to be written elsewhere on the host. No authentication or user interaction is required, and a successful write supports code execution in the GMS host context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
