Cross-project task modification via mismatched project identifiers
Published Oct 8, 2026 · Updated Oct 8, 2026
Authorization bypass in Apache DolphinScheduler before 3.4.3 allows remote authenticated users to modify tasks through its API. The /dolphinscheduler/projects/{projectCode}/task-definition/{code}/with-upstream endpoint accepts a task code without verifying that it belongs to the supplied project. Access to one authorized project lets attackers modify another project's task definition and upstream dependencies, compromising workflow integrity and disrupting task execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Activity data is delayed. The latest report is Sep 28, 2026.
