Protected-account deletion via unchecked bulk endpoint
Published Sep 25, 2026 · Updated Sep 25, 2026
Missing authorization in RabbitMQ Server allows remote authenticated users to delete protected accounts through the bulk-delete API. The bulk handler passes each supplied username directly to rabbit_auth_backend_internal:delete_user/2 without applying the protected-user check used by the single-user endpoint. Exploitation requires the management plugin, an administrator-tagged account, and an existing protected user; deletion can break dependent integrations.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
