Out-of-bounds read in OpenEXR 3.4.0 through 3.4.12 allows attackers to read beyond a chunk buffer via a crafted EXR file. The HTJ2K decoder advances its codestream pointer by an attacker-controlled PLEN value without confirming that the declared header fits in the compressed chunk. An application must decode the untrusted file; the published evidence establishes an invalid read but does not establish attacker recovery of the accessed memory.
