CVE-2026-65939

Privileged arbitrary file write via LogToFile action

Published Aug 12, 2026 · Updated Aug 12, 2026

Arbitrary file write in Progress WhatsUp Gold before 26.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to place files in the IIS web root. The LogToFile action handler accepts an attacker-selected file extension and creates the resulting file beneath the web-accessible IIS root. High-privilege access from an adjacent network is required, and the vendor does not disclose whether the file is automatically executed or how its contents are controlled.
