Path traversal in Meshery before 1.0.57 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary host files through unauthenticated API requests. The fileView and fileDownload handlers URL-decode the file query parameter and pass the resulting absolute or traversal path directly to os.Open without restricting it to Meshery's log directory. No authentication is required; readable database files, provider credentials, and other host files are exposed without write or execution access.
