Live snapshot access via unrestricted password attempts
Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
Improper authentication in CP PLUS EZ-P21 IP Camera 4.8.8.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to access live video snapshots. The camera's HTTP endpoints do not sufficiently restrict repeated failed authentication attempts, permitting automated password brute forcing. Network access to an affected camera is sufficient; exploitation requires guessing valid credentials and exposes snapshots without reported write or service-interruption impact.
