Unauthenticated directory deletion via generateNewApp
Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Path traversal in Balbooa Gridbox 1.0.0 through 2.20.1 allows remote attackers to recursively delete server directories. The unauthenticated generateNewApp method applies recursive deletion to attacker-controlled path data without restricting it to an authorized directory. A network-reachable Joomla site is sufficient, and deletion can make the site unavailable.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
