Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Privilege escalation in Balbooa Gridbox 1.0.0 through 2.20.1 allows remote attackers to create Joomla administrator accounts. The registration handler adds attacker-supplied group IDs to the default group instead of replacing or rejecting them. No account, session, or token is required; crafted public registration assigns the new account to an administrator group.
