Unauthenticated account access via insecure web-service defaults
Published Jul 28, 2026 · Updated Jul 28, 2026
Incorrect access control in Joomdle for Joomla 0.7.0 through 3.0.1 allows remote attackers to read accounts and reset passwords. The extension’s default web-services configuration permits CMS account reads and password resets instead of limiting those operations to trusted callers. No credentials are required; access is network-based, and an empty IP restriction permits requests from any address.
