CVE-2026-65832Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Client memory disclosure via unchecked modifier index

Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Deskflow before 1.26.0.299 allows remote attackers to leak process memory or crash a client via DSOP messages. In src/lib/client/ServerProxy.cpp, ServerProxy::setOptions() stores wire-supplied modifier values in m_modifierTranslationTable without checking that they stay within the valid 0-6 range before ServerProxy::translateKey() and ServerProxy::translateModifierMask() use them to index the fixed s_translationTable and s_masks arrays. Exploitation requires a client to connect to a malicious or impersonated Deskflow server, after which modifier-key events can disclose four bytes at an attacker-chosen relative offset or terminate the client process.
