Authenticated remote code execution
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Improper input validation in Power BI Report Server before 15.0.1121.120 allows remote authenticated users to execute code over a network. Microsoft's public records do not identify the affected endpoint, parser, or validation routine; they disclose only that crafted network input reaches server-side code execution. Exploitation requires valid low-privilege credentials and no user interaction, which makes reachable PBIRS deployments an authenticated server-side RCE triage item.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Published CVSS scores
CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
Public exploit references
No public exploit references are available in this record.
Labels summarize the accepted research assessment. They do not indicate a test against your environment.
