A heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Windows iSCSI Target Service allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code over a network. Microsoft identifies the faulty locus only as the iSCSI Target Service and has not disclosed which request field overruns which heap allocation. Exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction but has high attack complexity; successful exploitation compromises the affected service and host.
