Browser script execution via shortcut action overrides
Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Regular Labs Keyboard Shortcuts 1.0.0 through 3.2.5 allows attackers to run JavaScript through action overrides. The shortcut configuration accepts arbitrary inline JavaScript and assigns it directly to browser-executed shortcut behavior instead of restricting actions to Joomla tasks, approved helpers, and constrained redirects. Exploitation requires permission to alter shortcut configuration, and the injected code runs in the affected Joomla administrator interface.
