CVE-2026-65679Network attack vector

Remote code execution via iSCSI heap overflow

Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows iSCSI Target Service in Microsoft Windows allows remote attackers to execute code via network requests. Microsoft has not published the vulnerable function or parser, but the flaw is in the service's handling of iSCSI input, where untrusted network data can overrun a heap buffer. Exposure requires the iSCSI Target Service to be enabled and reachable from the attacker's network path; successful exploitation yields code execution in the target service context.
