Privilege escalation via SQL injection
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
SQL injection in Microsoft Entra Connect Sync before 2.6.84.0 allows local users to elevate privileges via crafted SQL input. Microsoft has not published the affected function, query, or code path, so the vulnerable SQL operation inside the Sync component remains undisclosed. Exploitation requires local access and low existing privileges on the Entra Connect host, and the published scoring indicates compromise of that installation rather than a cross-boundary service takeover.
