CVE-2026-65651Network attack vector

Service crash via unbounded expression nesting

Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026

Stack exhaustion in Temporal SQL Parser and Temporal Server allows remote authenticated users to crash service processes with crafted queries. The parser accepts deeply nested unary expressions without an applicable depth limit, and String or Walk recursively traverses the resulting AST until the Go stack fatally overflows. Namespace read permission is sufficient on affected Server paths; repeated requests can sustain Frontend or Matching service interruption.
