Root command execution via insufficient feed-rule validation
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
OS command injection in ConfigServer Security & Firewall allows remote attackers controlling rule feeds to execute arbitrary commands as root. The advanced-rule parser accepts command-bearing data from configured allow or deny feeds without sufficient validation before root-privileged command processing. Exploitation requires control of a configured feed; original releases from 2.15 onward and WebPros releases before 16.30 contain the vulnerable parser.
