Command execution via unescaped Attribute View templates
Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in SiYuan before 3.7.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands when a database is viewed. The Attribute View renderCell path inserts Template-column output from text/template into innerHTML without escaping balanced self-closing image tags. Execution requires a victim to view the stored database in the desktop renderer, where nodeIntegration exposes require and commands run with that user's privileges.
