Stored DOM XSS via unchecked cachedResultUrl scheme
Published Jul 22, 2026 · Updated Jul 22, 2026
Stored DOM XSS in n8n before 1.123.64, 2.29.8, and 2.30.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The Resource Locator passes the workflow-persisted cachedResultUrl value to window.open() without validating its URL scheme, allowing a javascript: value to execute. Exploitation requires workflow creation or editing privileges and a victim who opens the crafted workflow and interacts with an external link.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
