Expression language injection in affected n8n releases allows remote authenticated users to execute code as the n8n process. The legacy expression evaluator's computed-member sanitizer accepts a crafted expression that escapes its restrictions and reaches host execution. Workflow create or modify permission is required, and the vulnerable legacy engine is enabled by default in affected releases.
