Editor-level file deletion via unrestricted path handling
Published Jul 27, 2026 · Updated Jul 27, 2026
Path traversal in Themeum Kirki 6.0.13 and earlier allows remote authenticated users with Editor access to delete arbitrary files. The Editor-facing file-deletion path does not adequately restrict the supplied path, but public sources do not identify the handler or parameter. Editor privileges and network access to the WordPress site are required; deletion of site or core files can interrupt the site.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
