Sandbox escape via improper entitlement validation
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Sandbox escape in Apple macOS Sequoia before 15.8, Tahoe before 26.7, and Golden Gate before 27 allows local users to escape app confinement. The entitlement-verification path inadequately validates a process entitlement before deciding whether the process may cross the sandbox boundary. Execution of a malicious local app is required; Apple has not disclosed the affected component, entitlement, or resources exposed after escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
