System crash via Kernel race condition
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Kernel race condition in Apple iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS allows local apps to terminate the system. The Kernel component mishandles shared state during concurrent operations, allowing an application to reach an inconsistent state that causes unexpected system termination. Execution of a local application is required; Apple reports a system crash only and has not published the raced operation or affected Kernel subsystem.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
