CVE-2026-65315Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Remote service crash via unbounded GGUF allocations

Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026

Uncontrolled memory allocation in Ollama through f0078ae allows remote attackers to crash the server via a crafted GGUF file. The fs/ggml/gguf.go parser passes untrusted string lengths, tensor dimension counts, and metadata array counts to allocation or slice operations before checking the bytes remaining. API access to blob upload plus model creation, or a pull from an untrusted registry, triggers a fatal out-of-memory error or unrecovered panic that terminates the process.
