CVE-2026-65181Network attack vector

Java code execution via Data Source class loading

Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026

Improper code-resource control in Apache Impala 2.7.0 through 4.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary Java code. The Data Source table path accepts an attacker-uploaded JAR from remote storage and loads its external Data Source class without sufficient authorization. The user must hold privileges to upload the file and create the table; successful exploitation runs code in the Impala service context.
