Authenticated registry access via invalid credentials
Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026
Insufficient session expiration in GitLab CE/EE allows remote authenticated users to access Virtual Registries with invalid credentials. The virtual registry credential-validation path accepts credentials after invalidation or outside their intended scope; GitLab has not disclosed the responsible code locus. Exploitation requires credentials and an enabled Virtual Registry and permits reading or modifying registry content within the improperly accepted scope.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=18.10 <18.10.4
- Affected versionversion=18.11 <18.11.1
- Affected versionversion=18.2 <18.9.6
