CVE-2026-65069

Local data disclosure via insecure backing-file creation

Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026

Information disclosure in Data::DisjointSet::Shared before 0.02 allows local users to read IPC payloads from shared backing files. The backing-file creation path in dsu.h calls open(path, O_RDWR|O_CREAT, 0666) without O_EXCL or O_NOFOLLOW, leaving a world-readable file under the default umask and accepting a planted file or symlink. Exploitation requires local access to the shared directory; a local user can read segment contents or redirect creation through a planted path.
