CVE-2026-65063

Local IPC disclosure via permissive backing-file creation

Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026

Incorrect backing-file creation in Data::RadixTree::Shared before 0.02 allows local users to read shared-memory IPC data. In radix.h, open(path, O_RDWR|O_CREAT, 0666) creates a normally world-readable mmap file and follows or reuses attacker-planted paths because O_NOFOLLOW and O_EXCL are absent. Exposure requires a shared directory accessible to another local account; that account can read IPC payloads and can pre-create a file or symlink to redirect the segment.
