Subscriber-to-Administrator escalation via unrestricted user-meta update
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Missing authorization in InfusedWoo Pro 5.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to grant themselves Administrator privileges. The infusedwoo_gdpr_upddata() function performs no capability check and accepts unrestricted user-meta keys, allowing wp_capabilities to be overwritten. Subscriber-level access is sufficient to alter the caller’s role, giving the account full WordPress administrative control.
