Unauthenticated directory enumeration via ungated scan path
Published Jul 22, 2026 · Updated Jul 22, 2026
Directory enumeration in InvokeAI before 6.13.7 allows remote attackers to expose server paths through an unauthenticated API request. The GET /api/v2/models/scan_folder route passes attacker-controlled scan_path to ModelSearch, which recursively calls os.scandir and returns absolute model-like file paths; differing responses reveal path existence and readability. Exposure requires multi-user mode and network access; it discloses directory contents and path metadata without granting file-content access.
