Authenticated information disclosure via unchecked event duplication
Published Jul 22, 2026 · Updated Jul 22, 2026
Missing authorization in Graylog Open Server 7.0.10 and earlier and 7.1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read event definitions. The duplicate method in EventDefinitionsResource loads and clones the selected definition without checking entity-specific read permission. The eventdefinitions:create capability is sufficient to expose private detection queries, thresholds, grouping fields, schedules, and notification bindings.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
