Authenticated file manipulation via unchecked POST paths
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
Path traversal in Tiny File Manager 2.0 through 2.6 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate files via crafted file[] POST values. The POST parameter handler in filemanager.php accepts file[] path components without restricting traversal outside the configured file-management root. A valid low-privilege session is required; successful requests can alter files or interrupt service, with no reported file disclosure.
