Administrator takeover via CSRF-driven SVG upload
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Pandora FMS 777 and later allows remote attackers to hijack administrator sessions through a crafted SVG upload. The File Manager accepts an SVG containing executable JavaScript, while the chained CSRF causes a logged-in browser to submit the upload without an effective origin check. Exploitation requires administrator browser interaction and subsequent rendering of the stored SVG; the resulting script can exfiltrate session cookies and enable account takeover.
