Update suppression via unverified firmware reports
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Security decision bypass in Mira Android App 4.5.15.4 and Mira Hormone Monitor Firmware 1.7.1.47 allows remote authenticated users to falsify status. The Mira cloud API treats a firmware-version string supplied by the companion app as authoritative without independently attesting the version on the paired monitor. Control of an authenticated account and its device is required; forged reports can suppress update prompts and distort vulnerable-fleet and patch-adoption records.
