Authenticated code execution via asset-filter injection
Published Jul 21, 2026 · Updated Jul 21, 2026
Command injection in Tenable Security Center 6.6.0 through 6.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via the Analysis REST endpoint. Asset filter parameters reach command argument handling without validation, allowing shell metacharacters to escape the intended argument boundary. A low-privileged Security Center account is required, and injected commands execute as a low-privileged operating-system user on the Linux server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
