File deletion and log writes via path traversal
Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026
Path traversal in Regular Labs Cache Cleaner Pro 1.0.0 through 9.7.6 allows remote attackers to delete files or write logs outside the site webroot. The Pro custom-folder purge accepts unsafe relative paths and empties the resolved directories, while the log-path setting writes cachecleaner_lastclean.log in the resolved folder. Exploitation requires an unsafe custom path, and consequences remain bounded by the Joomla web process's filesystem permissions.
