CVE-2026-6486Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unescaped display name

Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026

Stored cross-site scripting in classroombookings 2.0 through 2.17.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a display name. layout.php inserts the stored menu-item label into an HTML image alt attribute without escaping it, although the visible label is escaped separately. A Teacher can save a quote-breaking displayname through /profile/save; the payload then runs automatically for users who view pages that render that name.
