CVE-2026-64859Network attack vector

Admin-to-root escalation via token disclosure

Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 17, 2026

Privilege escalation in QuantumNous New API before 1.0.0-rc.7 allows remote authenticated users to access root-only APIs via leaked bearer tokens. The admin user list and lookup handlers return User objects after omitting only the password field, so JSON serialization still emits User.AccessToken as access_token and exposes the root account's token in responses such as GET /api/user/. Administrator-level access is required to query these endpoints, after which the disclosed token can be replayed to impersonate root and change system configuration and other protected settings.
